Dare to Ride features some of Asia’s most accomplished motorcyclists attempting to conquer the region’s most famous routes using only their bikes, wits and technical know-how. The show is narrated by Steve Crombie, a world-renowned professional adventure motorcyclist who has conquered many extreme terrains and roads in Asia and around the world.

The first episode (premiere on June 25) takes the audience to Indonesiain which video journalist Arsal Bahtiar takes on the challenge of making an arduous journey on a scooter to the top of Mount Bromo, an active volcano in East Java. The nerve-wracking episode reveals whether the motorcycle designed for city streets can cope with rocky roads, steep mountain trails and a vast sandy desert.

Episode 2 (premieres July 2) follows professional skateboarder Pa’din Musa through Malaysia as he tackles anything the jungle can throw at him on an underbone motorcycle, also known as a ‘Kapcai’ in Malaysia, designed for everyday use on the road. Pa’din puts the iconic vehicle through the ultimate off-road test, driving it over rocky rivers, muddy trails, wet grass and slippery slopes.

In episode 3 (premieres on July 9), Filipino radio and television star Samir Gogna (Sam YG) takes the ride of his life with a trip from Manila to Dicasalarin Cove, one of the most beautiful places in the PhilippinesRiding a touring motorcycle through the scorching sun and pouring rain will push the adrenaline junkie beyond his limits, battling dehydration, exhaustion and unexpected challenges along the way.

Episode 4 (premiere on July 16) takes the audience to Vietnam with photojournalist Tran Tuan Viet, who puts his knowledge of Hanoi to the test by trying his hand at being a motorbike tour guide for a day. Armed with only a vintage motorbike and his wits, Viet takes three tourists on a journey full of food, history and culture.

Episode 5 (premiere on July 23) takes viewers to Thailandwhere actor and adventurer Ray MacDonald spends a day in the shoes or wheels of a Chiang Mai motorbike delivery driver and learns what it means to be a true hero of the road. With delivery drivers dependent on their ratings, even a single missed order can cost them time, money and business, so Ray has to be on high alert as he weaves through Thailand’s motor vehicle chaos to have any chance of getting a 5-star rating.

In the final episode (premieres on July 20), bicycle enthusiast Fakira Tiwari completes an epic 200 km journey through Indiahe travels from the old to the new, from the mountainous terrain of Nashik to the Gateway of India in Mumbai, before sunset. On the way, he has to deliver a gift of books to a remote village school. He will have to negotiate grueling village trails with long stretches of silence and isolation before reaching the chaotic and intimidating expressways of Mumbai.

Dare to drive underscores Southeast Asia’s position as one of the world’s best motorcycling destinations, as the show entertains and educates audiences about the region’s natural beauty, culture and history. The show marks Warner Bros. Discovery’s first-ever partnership with Shell and reflects Warner Bros. Discovery’s reputation for quality entertainment and commitment to bringing audiences more locally relevant content.
