Julianne Hough felt insecure during her relationship with Ryan Seacrest.
The 36-year-old dancer dated 49-year-old Ryan for three years, but Julianne was always afraid that people would think she was with the TV star for the wrong reasons.
During an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, Julianne said: “The ground was pulled out from under me, I was just flying and experiencing things that I didn’t even know existed.”
“But then I was so insecure and thought, ‘I don’t want anyone to think I’m with him for that reason.'”
Julianne doesn’t know if she’s “ever really been in love with anyone.”
However, she has always entered into relationships with good intentions.
She explained: “What I’ve realized over the years is that I don’t know if I’ve ever really been in love with anyone, but I’ve loved the feeling of being loved. And so let me be what I need to be so I can be loved.”
“And because I’m so full of someone’s love, of course I love you. I love everyone. I’ve been in love with everyone I’ve ever dated, but have I? I don’t want to overanalyze that, because every person I’ve dated has been a very good person.”
Julianne dated Ryan between 2010 and 2013 and the dancer admitted she was surprised by the public reaction to their split.
She recalled: “I remember when I decided to quit, there were a lot of these mothers and producers from Brentwood in the world who said, ‘What are you doing?'”
