The intermittent USB device connected/disconnected notifications are one of the many annoying and common problems faced by Android users, especially Samsung users. They try to fix the problem to no avail. The problem only creates confusion among Android users as no obvious cause can be given, so some just leave it as it is.

Check the charging port for water damage

Sometimes moisture in the charging port can trigger continuous USB connect/disconnect notifications. If your Samsung Galaxy phone has been exposed to water or high humidity (which tends to happen during summer/rainy season), it’s important to fix this as soon as possible. First, turn off your Android device to avoid any potential short circuits. Gently dab the charging port with a dry microfiber cloth and absorb any excess moisture. Do not insert any objects into the port as this may cause further damage. After making sure the port is completely dry, restart your phone and check if the issue persists. Clean the charging port and check the USB cable for damage

Enable USB debugging and change the default USB settings

An Android smartphone may require a charger for a flash memory, which causes this problem. You need to change the default USB settings and enable USB debugging to make sure if this is the cause or not.

Follow the steps to enable USB debugging and change USB default settings:

1) Go to your smartphone Settings and select “About phone”.

2) Click on Software information and then seven times on Build number activate Developer options.

3) Back to Settings and select Developer options.

4) Scroll down and activate USB debugging.

5) Then scroll down again to select USB configuration.

6) Select Load from the given list.

Force a system stop

If the problem persists, you may have to resort to the last option, one of which is to abruptly stop all the main functions of your smartphone to see if that solves the problem.

1) Go to Settings and select Apps.

2) Click on the three dots option at the top right of the page to Select system apps.

3) Click on Android system from the given list.

4) Tap forced stop

Reset your smartphone

You may have to resort to the last option, which is resetting your phone to return it to its default state. This will return all the settings to their default state, which will hopefully solve the problem.

1) Go to your smartphone Settings and select Management.
