As reported in News Center 7 at 6 a.m., The city hopes to demolish the buildings at the corner of Grange Hall and Dayton Xenia Road and convert them into a gas station.

Which gas station this will be has not yet been announced.

At the planning committee meeting on July 3, people were not satisfied with this idea.

A woman who lives near the proposed site expressed concerns that the gas stations could affect her well water.

Others said they were confused because the city has a brand new Sheetz on North Fairfield Road and is in the process of building another Sheetz near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

“Why do they really need another gas station? When they should be doing something for the youth to help them instead of just trying to line their pockets,” said Wayne Blair.

Other neighbors will be able to voice their opinions during the commission meeting on Monday evening.

News Center 7 will be attending this meeting and will be broadcasting the latest news LIVE on News Center 7 at 11am.
