These games were never about being a conqueror, but a great leader who could build an empire She could be proud of. Civilization VII will build on that, but we can’t help but wonder how they will take it even further.

They can introduce a new campaign mode with a more focused narrative. They can give players a well-written story, choices, and maybe even multiple endings. But what we know for sure is that fans will have several new characters to choose from.

Release date and platforms for “Civilization VII”

At the moment we only know that Civilization VII will be released in 2025 and is, for us, one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year.

Speaking of platforms: Although it is a series for hardcore strategy gamers, 2K Civilization VI for consoles and mobile devices too. Purists will say this is heretical, but why is this a problem if a game reaches as many players as possible?

We expect Civilization VII is set to be released on all consoles, even the Nintendo Switch 2 (we doubt the current generation of Nintendo consoles can handle it).

For fans eagerly awaiting more information about this new game, there is good news. 2K has announced that they Civilization VII later this month at Gamescom 2024. Gameplay will be streamed everywhere on August 20, 2024 and we will get answers to all questions we have about its gameplay.
