Lamar Jackson questions officers based on video evidence

Late in practice, during an 11-on-11 replay in the red zone, quarterback Lamar Jackson threw a strike to tight end Isaiah Likely. Safety Marcus Williams, who was standing right next to Likely, broke up the ball and it was questionable whether Williams was there too early and whether there was too much contact. The referees in the end zone did not throw the flag, leaving Jackson, Likely and wide receiver Zay Flowers to argue on the sideline why the yellow wash was not thrown away as they left the field and the second team entered the field.

Jackson then ran to the sideline where the tablets were on a cart, pulled out the film, and ran onto the field before a second-team snap to show the referees his side of the story to the back umpire. After presumably not getting the answer he wanted, he went to the side judge to state his case, who also seemed to disagree with the signal-caller. Jackson left the field because he disagreed with the officials.

Over the past two days, Jackson has shown how emotionally invested he is in his performance, as he threw his helmet to the turf yesterday after wide receiver Nelson Agholor dropped two deep balls.
