It doesn’t surprise me that Brad Pitt asked Hans Zimmer to write the score for his new racing film “Apex”.
The composer is famous for composing the music for some of the greatest films of all time, including Gladiator and The Lion King.

I’m told that Brad made sure Hans got a feel for the film by inviting him to a Formula 1 race to spend time with him and Mercedes driver Sir Lewis Hamilton.
My Mole explained: “Hans wrote the score for the 2013 F1 film Rush, so it was a no-brainer for Brad to bring him on board.
“He personally invited Hans to a race to spend time with him and Lewis on the grid and stimulate his creativity.
“There will be more announcements about the film in the coming days, and from what Brad has heard about Hans’ score for Apex, it sounds like he’s hit the jackpot.”
Brad now regularly takes part in Grand Prix races all over the world.
Over the past two years, he has even taken over a paddock at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix to film scenes as driver Sonny Hayes.
To make it even more realistic, I revealed earlier this year that Sky Sports F1 race commentators Martin Brundle and David Croft made cameo appearances.
I can’t lie. Seeing Brad in racing leathers is what draws me to the cinema.
But I think this will be the first choice for all film fans who are adrenaline junkies.

‘Vision’s Joost in the clear
The police investigation against the Dutch Eurovision Song Contest act Joost Klein has been discontinued.
It was about an alleged incident that had led to his disqualification a few hours before the final in Sweden in May.

Joost, who was one of the bookmakers’ favorites with his song “Europapa”, was checked by police in Malmö after “a female member of the production team filed a complaint.”
The Swedish public prosecutor stated that he had “made a movement that hit the woman’s film camera”, but that this was “perceived differently by the witnesses”.
The senior public prosecutor added: “I cannot prove that the act was capable of causing considerable fear or that the man had such an intention.”
Singer and songwriter Beabadoobee has a good chance of releasing her first No. 1 album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, on Friday.
It is in pole position in the midweek charts, ahead of WILL YOUNG’s comeback album “Light It Up”, which is expected to land at number 2 next Friday, displacing Chappell Roan at number 3 and Charli XCX at number 4.

The film grossed £4.5 million, outgrossing Deadpool and Wolverine.
This superhero hit only came second in the overall rankings.
Meanwhile, Despicable Me 4 came in third with £1.4 million over the weekend.
However, I doubt Deadpool actor Ryan will be too disappointed that he and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) were pushed into second place.
Their blockbuster has just surpassed the $1 billion (£780 million) box office mark, so it is clearly a huge success.
ZOE BALL has taken a sudden break from Radio 2 almost four months after the death of her mother.
The breakfast presenter was absent from Friday’s show and also yesterday, when Scott Mills replaced her.
Her return is not expected until September, but Scott did not reveal the reason for her absence.
On air he said: “If you set your alarm for 6.30am every morning and Zoe usually comes, please don’t panic. You haven’t overslept.
“I’m doing the breakfast show here, don’t panic.”
He later added: “If you tuned in this morning, Scott Mills has filled in for Zoe for the next few weeks. Sending you and the team all my love, Zoe.”
Zoe is one of the kindest women on radio so I hope she’s OK.
