“DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE” – FSK 16
“Make superhero movies fun again” could be the mantra of “Deadpool & Wolverine,” an R-rated action comedy that relies heavily on the rivalry between two superheroes and their undisguised penchant for bloody fights and bad-mouthing.
The long-awaited return of a Deadpool movie is a saving grace for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has seen disappointing box office numbers with its recent films, including the overrated Captain Marvel.
But just when you feel like the superhero genre has been exhausted, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman come along and deliver a gripping film full of suspense and suspense, full of hilarious, humorous irreverence and blockbuster action that delights audiences.
Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who wears a really bad toupee, has hung up his Deadpool costume to sell used cars, his trademark red ensemble retired since he was not accepted into the Avengers.
Wade’s normal civilian life takes a wild turn when the Time Variance Authority, led by the overzealous Mr. Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen), pulls him into a mission. Deadpool’s universe is facing extinction, so it’s time to get back in shape.
Deadpool and his friends, including his estranged girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) and his blind roommate Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), face an existential threat, which is another reason for Deadpool to trade in his car sales for his swords.
There’s not much point in explaining the apocalyptic threat that’s destroying all timelines. All you need to know is that a place called The Void, set in a barren landscape reminiscent of Mad Max, is ruled by the villainous Cassandra (Emma Corwin), who looks like a gaunt model with no hair.
While Wade is not exactly thrilled to enter the arena of superheroes, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), who was knocked down in “Logan”, has been resurrected, so to speak, and still needs to train his aggressiveness.
Seemingly endless fight scenes between Deadpool and Wolverine are mandatory until they finally team up against a common enemy. A priceless line is when Deadpool says that Disney will have Wolverine play this role until he is ninety years old.
At least for now, Deadpool and Wolverine are such a great duo that bringing them back for another superhero adventure would be more welcome than remaking other Marvel films.
At times the plot gets a little chaotic or convoluted, but the comic mischief comes so fast and furious that it wouldn’t be surprising if you wanted to watch the film again just to take in all the craziness.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” is the best blockbuster in a long time. The witty sayings and comical sayings are excellent thanks to the great execution. The action sequences are something special.
The chemistry between Reynolds and Jackman is top-notch as they know exactly what works best for their respective roles. Additionally, Reynolds brilliantly breaks the fourth wall when his lines are directed at the audience.
Bear in mind that there are a lot of swear words, so it’s not a family film. Nevertheless, Deadpool & Wolverine is damn funny, even if the dialogue isn’t for everyone. Considering Reynolds’ slapstick in the previous two parts of the series, all you can say is: what did you expect?

On courts 4 through 17, 128 men and 128 women will compete for a place in the main draw at the US Open Qualifying Tournament. Watch the best tennis players in the world battle it out for a place in the main draw.
A ticket is required for the Stars of the Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday evening, August 21. This tennis spectacle will feature top players and US Open legends.
The event is expected to feature the talents of Novak Djokovic, John McEnroe, Carlos Alcaraz, Andre Agassi, Venus Williams, Gabriela Wozniacki, Andy Roddick, Frances Tiafoe and more. Participants are subject to change.
