Build-a-Bear added the Sanrio 50th Anniversary Hello Kitty plush toy to its online store in both bundles and stuffed animal gift sets on August 29, 2024. While the $36 plush toy, sold individually, is still available, the $51 gift set and the $57.50 bundle with toy cupcake bracelet are already sold out.
The Hello Kitty stuffed animal is 17 inches tall. She has multi-colored fur with mixed blues, pinks, and greens. Instead of a traditional bow, there is a fabric “50” above her left ear. Also, her facial features and whiskers are white, rather than the usual black and yellow. Both gift sets include a pink party dress with 50th anniversary symbols, hearts, and a white bow. The cupcake bracelet is also the same pink color and features mascot elements. Both the dress and cupcake are only available in the two packages.

While this item appears to be sold out, other Sanrio stuffed animals of Hello Kitty and other characters are available. They are also on sale when purchased together with the 50th anniversary version of the famous cat. So if someone purchases the Spring Gingham Hello Kitty or any of the Halloween versions of Cinnamoroll, Kuromi or Pompompurin, they can save 10% off the regular price.
