The Statesboro Athletic Hall of Fame Committee has announced the 2024 inductees, including notable alumni Monnette Bennett, Charlie Jackson, Andrew Middleton and Jamie Childs Purdy, as well as honorary inductee Robert Hodges. A reception, banquet and induction ceremony are scheduled for Sept. 19 at Statesboro High School.
The Statesboro Athletic Hall of Fame Committee has announced the 2024 Hall of Fame inductees.
The former athletes included are:
- Monnette Bennett – SHS graduating class 2008
- Charlie Jackson – SHS graduating class of 1972
- Andrew Middleton – SHS graduating class of 1992
- Jamie Childs Purdy – SHS graduating class of 1996
The honorary member of the Class of 2024 is a former coach at Statesboro High School. Robert Hodges.
The reception, banquet and induction ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 19, at Statesboro High School.
The reception begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the banquet at 6:00 p.m. and the induction ceremony at 7:00 p.m. There is no charge to attend the reception or induction ceremony, but the banquet fee is $25.00.

All inductees will be honored during the ceremony prior to the Statesboro High School-Bradwell football game on Friday, September 20th.
