Today I learned that SeaWorld in San Antonio, Texas has a water park called Aquatica…

But that is beside the point!

A woman posted a video on TikTok speaking out against SeaWorld and Aquatica after she had an embarrassing experience at the water park.

The woman told viewers that she went to Aquatica with her husband, daughter and mother and spent nearly $300 on tickets and parking for the day.

And then she spent another $179 on lawn chairs so they could sit in the shade for the day.

She said, “So now we’ve already invested $500 in the day. And that’s without food and everything else.”

When they decided to enjoy the park’s water slides, she said a lifeguard pulled her out of line and told her she had to get on a scale and get weighed before she could slide down the slide to see if she and her mother could slide together…

She was told that she was too heavy for the journey.

She said, “I’m a bigger girl, but I weigh a total of 400 pounds to do this ride.”

Then she asked, “We couldn’t have switched? Like it was just me and my daughter?”

The staff member refused and sent her away, while her family members were allowed to go down the water slide.

She explained that her husband spoke to the employee and said, “They just banned my wife from riding here, and as I was getting on, I saw behind me a father who was about 6’5″ tall and probably 300 pounds,” with his teenage son, who was a big boy.

The woman said she cried over the incident and told viewers, “What’s your problem, Aquatica? Why would you do that to someone?”

She said she later met a manager, talked to her and told her what happened on the water slide.

After she described her humiliation, the manager said, “I don’t know what to tell you.”

The manager added: “Discuss this with headquarters. Maybe send them an email.”

The woman then told viewers: “I now appeal to corporate management. Aquatica San Antonio, I am appalled at the way you treat your customers and especially the training of your lifeguards. Do better.”
