Paris Hilton has hit back at trolls who took it upon themselves to “mom shame” her after seeing a recent video of her son.
Paris has a son, one-year-old Phoenix, with her husband Carter Reum.
The 43-year-old celebrity welcomed Phoenix into the world via surrogate and announced his birth date for January 16, 2023.
A new video posted by Paris on TikTok and Instagram shows Phoenix exploring a Sunreef catamaran, looking extremely happy in a red shirt.
She captioned the sweet video: “Watching Phoenix explore the world has been so special to me! I’m so grateful to be a #SlivingMom.”
In 2019, Paris coined the term “sliving,” a combination of “slaying” and “living.”
While many fans were happy about the video, others gave Paris unsolicited advice.
One person wrote: “As a mom who takes her daughter on sailboats, ALWAYS LIFE JACKETS oh my gosh no matter the size.”
Another said: “I’m so upset to see him not in a life jacket! You can never be too safe on the water!”
A third added: “Mommy please tell him to always wear a life jacket on a boat!! These things happen. That’s why they’re called accidents. Love.”
Needless to say, many others supported Paris in her upbringing.
One person said: “I went straight to the comments only to see how many people are trying to judge her as a mother. How sad, she is an amazing mother!!!”
Another added: “Don’t people realise this is a big boat with railings?
She is extremely close to him and it seems like he doesn’t push the boundaries. How did people live before all the extra protective measures?”
Someone else commented: “Amazing and it gives him the courage to explore the world. Never mind all the moms whose fear obviously knows no bounds. You’re doing great.”
Paris has now spoken out to end the debate once and for all.

She wrote to her followers: “Hey mommies, thanks for the advice and for always taking care of my #CutesieCrew 🥺 It’s a big boat and my husband and I follow it everywhere and watch like hawks. My babies are my world!”
Sunreef Yachts, the company that owns the catamaran that Paris and her family sailed on, is a luxury boating company.
Their website states that they are the “leading designer and manufacturer of luxury sailing and power multihulls.”
It continues: “Each catamaran, motor yacht and superyacht is a bespoke creation. Each yacht is a vision brought to life, thoughtfully designed to deliver luxury, style and comfort.”
