TikTok star Elyse Myers has finally returned to the platform after suddenly deleting all her videos in early 2024 to take an extended social media break.
Since she first went viral in 2021 after sharing the story of her horrific first date at Taco Bell, Elyse Myers has grown her account to over 7 million followers.
The internet star has spent the past few years documenting her life, posting comedy sketches and becoming one of TikTok’s biggest mental health advocates before deleting her channel in spring 2024.
Elyse has yet to directly address her sudden departure from social media, but it came at a time when fans said she was being harassed in the comments on her videos. At the same time, the TikToker had just revealed that her newborn son was battling major health issues.
For most of 2024, her TikTok bio read, “I’m taking a break from this app. See you when we see you.” However, on August 28, Myers shocked her viewers when she uploaded a video to celebrate her return to the short-form video app.

She doesn’t comment on her absence, but instead posts a comedic sketch about the “2 pm Scaries.” The video quickly went viral, garnering 1.5 million views and over 16,000 comments in just 12 hours of being posted.
Elyse Myers fans from all over the world shared their excitement about her return to the platform.
“Did anyone else freak out and check the date to see if this was an old video and then freak out even more when they realized she was back?” one user replied.

While it’s unknown how often Elyse will be uploading to her TikTok channel, it’s safe to say this is her full-on return to social media. The comedian shocked her fans with a photo on Instagram in early August and has posted nearly 20 more times since then.
