Telegram moderator Pavel Durov released from prison in new video

An amateur video shows Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov being released from custody after being charged in a French court on Wednesday, following his arrest over the weekend.

The Russian-born billionaire briskly exited a heavily guarded facility wearing sunglasses, a black baseball cap and dressed all in black, according to a 34-second video posted to X on Thursday.

A caption under the X-Post, written in Hungarian, can be translated as follows: “He just left the field. We baseball pet dwarves, stick together!”

As the video shows, Durov was then dragged to a waiting black SUV surrounded by burly security guards before speeding away.

A Russian-speaking journalist asked Durov about his state of mind, but the technology magnate declined to comment.

Durov was charged with complicity in spreading crimes via the popular messaging app, including child sexual abuse, drug trafficking and fraud, authorities said.

He was released on $5.6 million bail and ordered to remain in France while authorities continue their investigation.
