Plans to create gigawatt-scale AI-enabled data centers powered by Reliance’s green energy – Firstpost

At the 47th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited, Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani unveiled ambitious plans to revolutionize AI infrastructure in India. As part of this vision, Reliance plans to build gigawatt-scale AI-enabled data centers in Jamnagar, powered entirely by the company’s green energy initiatives.

These data centers will play a critical role in supporting Jio’s AI ambitions while addressing the significant environmental challenges associated with the high energy consumption of AI operations.

The Jio Brain Initiative and the introduction of artificial intelligence
Ambani unveiled the Jio Brain initiative, a comprehensive suite of AI tools and platforms designed to cover the entire AI lifecycle. Jio Brain is designed to accelerate the adoption of AI across Jio’s vast network, enabling faster decisions, more accurate predictions, and a deeper understanding of customer needs. By leveraging these advanced AI capabilities, Jio aims to increase its operational efficiency and provide better services to its customers.

To streamline AI adoption, Jio is developing a comprehensive suite of tools and platforms that cover the entire AI lifecycle. We call this Jio Brain.

“With Jio Brain, we can accelerate the adoption of AI at Jio, leading to faster decisions, more accurate predictions and better understanding of customer needs. We are also starting to use Jio Brain to drive a similar transformation at other Reliance companies and accelerate their AI development as well,” Ambani said.
