Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed concerns about Mbappe’s recent performance and expressed confidence that the striker will soon hit his stride.
New Delhi: Real Madrid star striker Kylian Mbappe found himself at the centre of a controversy on August 29th when his X account was hacked. Numerous provocative tweets were posted from his account, attracting widespread attention in the football community.
These posts also strangled the long-standing rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. However, the hacker did not limit himself to this rivalry. He also included serious comments about prominent Premier League teams, including Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
These posts were controversial and highly critical among football fans and quickly became the topic of conversation throughout the football community. Later, the posts were removed shortly after they were published. Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 after years of speculation, had a mixed start to his career in Spain.
Despite scoring on his debut in the UEFA Super Cup, the Frenchman has struggled to maintain his form in his first few days at the Santiago Bernabeu and the hacking attack is another challenge for him to establish himself as a key player for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed concerns about Mbappe’s recent performance and expressed confidence that the striker will soon hit his stride. However, the hacking incident is a reminder of the constant pressure that top footballers face. Even a small misstep, as you can see in this case, can send the incident spiraling out of control and quickly become a critical problem.
“His last goal was on August 14. Only two weeks have passed since then, so there is no reason to worry. Neither we as a club nor he are worried,” Ancelotti said on Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s La Liga match in Las Palmas.
“He is very happy here, delighted and really wants to score a goal in the next game. Vinicius, who has not scored a goal this season, wants that too and I don’t see any concerns for him either,” he said.
“(Mbappé) is making really good progress, I see him getting better every day, he is enthusiastic, motivated and training well. He is very humble. I think his adaptation is going really well,” he added.
