NASA decides to bring back Boeing Starliner without astronauts – The Presidential Prayer Team
The agency decided to keep the astronauts in space rather than risk using the unreliable Boeing capsule.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has decided to postpone the return of two astronauts, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, from the International Space Station (ISS) until February, and to return Boeing’s Starliner to Earth empty. The astronauts were originally scheduled to return aboard the Starliner spacecraft in June, but that mission was delayed due to malfunctions in the capsule’s propulsion system.

NASA’s review found that the Starliner posed too great a safety risk to bring the astronauts back. The stranded astronauts will continue to work on the space station and return early next year on SpaceX’s Crew-9 Dragon.

“Spaceflight is risky, even at its safest and most routine. A test flight is inherently neither safe nor routine. The decision to keep Butch and Suni aboard the International Space Station and bring Boeing’s Starliner home uncrewed is the result of our commitment to safety: our core value and our guiding light,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson. “I am grateful to the teams at NASA and Boeing for their incredible and detailed work.”

Pray with us as the Lord shows you…

  • Administrator Nelson thinks it’s a good idea to seek God’s guidance as head of NASA.
  • For the safety of the International Space Station crew and NASA personnel as they prepare for the SpaceX Dragon mission.
