Mbappe’s X account hacked; post about Messi goes viral – The Week

It’s no secret that French football superstar Kylian Mbappe admired Cristiano Ronaldo as a child. In fact, his childhood photo with the Portuguese legend went viral before his high-profile transfer to Real Madrid – the club where Ronaldo spent his best years. Four years ago, he tweeted pictures with his “idol” with the goat emoji.

But hours earlier, a tweet from Mbappe’s X-account, in which he called Ronaldo the greatest of all time, had stunned everyone. Not because of his praise for the Portuguese star, but because of what came next.

No. Mbappe has not commented on one of the biggest debates in contemporary football. It’s just that the French striker’s X-account has been hacked!

There were other funny tweets, but also some controversial ones.

From insulting Tottenham and London (and claiming Manchester is red!) to announcing that he will join Manchester United in 2028, the hacker had a lot of fun – at the 26-year-old’s expense.

There were also contributions on Israel and Palestine.

All of these posts were deleted shortly thereafter.

Mbappe was last seen in action in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Valladolid. He is yet to score after scoring his first goal in his debut game – a 2-0 win over Atalanta. Real Madrid’s next game is against Las Palmas on Friday, before facing Real Betis.
