Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, is a mainstay at the Grand Slam, and on Wednesday it was no different as she watched the two-set match.

Questlove, frontman of The Roots, was also in attendance as Gauff advanced and looks to defend her title.

Gauff is seeking her second consecutive US Open victory but has yet to lose a set in her two matches.

On Monday, she defeated Varvara Gracheva 6-2, 6-0 before winning in straight sets on Wednesday.

After her victory on Monday, Gauff – who failed to make it to the third round of the women’s singles tournament at the Olympics – said the last few weeks had been a tough struggle.

“The last few weeks have been tough and I was like, ‘I have to do this and that, but I don’t have to prove anything to anyone but myself.’ So these two weeks are just about living up to all the expectations I have for myself,” Gauff said at the time. “I’m going to come back here for many years to come and I’m not going to win every year. Just that perspective and belief that I can – but not the expectation that I should.”
