Britt on Harris’s backtracking on the border wall: “I think she’ll wear a MAGA hat in her next commercial”

US Senator Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) criticizes Vice President Kamala Harris for her changed stance on illegal immigration.

Earlier this week, Axios reported that Harris “is promising to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on the wall along the southern border.”

This is in stark contrast to the candidate’s previous stance on the issue and she is currently trying to reposition herself to defeat former President Donald Trump in November.

Britt recently responded to the change in opinion on WVNN’s “The Yaffee Program.”

“Can you believe that?” Britt said. “I think she’s going to put on a MAGA hat in her next ad. I mean, who the hell knows? You see how she acts on various issues, how she refuses to actually sit down and do an interview or a press conference… And the truth is she doesn’t do that because she doesn’t know the answers. She’s not sure where she stands on these things.”

The senator does not believe Harris wants to change the Biden administration’s policies that have exacerbated the border crisis.

“Obviously, she has no clear policy agenda other than to continue these disastrous policies that we saw under the Biden-Harris administration,” she argued. “And the truth is, everyone knows that America is weaker and more vulnerable because of this. Look at the border. The border is now a complete and total disaster.”

Harris, says Britt, does not take her job as Vice President seriously.

“The border was handed over to them. President Biden said, ‘Hey, go fix this.’ And instead we’ve seen a record number of people coming across our border, a record number of known fugitives, meaning they’re people we’ve seen, but we don’t know who they are, where they’re going or what their intentions are.”

Britt also pointed to the Democrats’ blocking of one of her bills in Congress, saying that the Democrat has no serious intention of securing the border and solving the illegal immigration crisis.

“Also on the border, there are things like the Laken Riley Act, which I was a sponsor of in the Senate,” she said. “So I introduced it in the Senate with Senator Ted Brad. It had passed in the House on a bipartisan basis, and yet the Democrats in the Senate tried to block it.”

“Look at this. Look at this administration. When you look back at this whole so-called bipartisan deal, you see that for three years this administration has allowed our border policy and the fundamental laws of our country to be trampled upon.”
