Arizona Wildcats star quarterback to show monster numbers

The Arizona Wildcats begin their 2024 college football season on Saturday with a game against New Mexico.

After an impressive 2023 season, the Wildcats begin this year ranked 21st overall.

Noah Fifita is expected to have another great season as Arizona’s coach, and he has a ton of talent on offense. The Wildcats also have some NFL-caliber players on defense.

If we look at Fifita in particular, we can see that the star quarterback has just had a successful year.

In 2023, he completed 73.6 percent of his pass attempts for 2,869 yards, 25 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Many believe he will take those numbers to a new level in 2024.

Although there are major doubts about his future as an NFL quarterback due to his size, Fifita has a chance to silence his critics with a great year.

RotoWire has released its projections for the Arizona star this season, projecting him to rush for 3,282 yards, 29 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Obviously, these numbers are an improvement in two good areas and one bad, as he is expected to gain more passing yards and touchdowns, but also throw more interceptions.

With more aggressive throws comes more opportunities to intercept passes. Ideally, he would put up the inflated stats and avoid the interceptions. Having a weapon like wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan will be very helpful and should allow him to put up better numbers than last year.

You can expect Fifita to live up to the hype surrounding him in the 2024 season.

If he can lead his team to the success they are capable of while also putting up impressive individual numbers, he could soon be on the radar of NFL scouts.

RotoWire’s projections for him are solid, but his personal goals probably far exceed them. Hopefully he can exceed them and lead Arizona into the top 12 national rankings by the end of the year to make the College Football Playoff.
