Stop by the State Fair and see if the state owes you money – Finger Lakes Daily News

The State Comptroller’s Office participates in the State Fair each year and the Unclaimed Funds Booth is open to assist fairgoers in their search for lost money: August 21 through September 1, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Labor Day, September 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Center of the Progress Building.

If you go to the State Fair, you can find out right there if the state owes you money. The State Comptroller’s Office has set up an unclaimed funds booth in the Center of the Progress Building at the fair, so you can check to see if you have money held by the state that belongs to you or a family member. Unclaimed funds can come from utility deposits, old bank accounts, uncashed checks, insurance claims, stocks and other sources that have been sitting idle for years.

The booth is open now through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Labor Day (September 2) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Center of the Progress Building.
