New art studio/living space opens in Gloucester

A new art studio/living space will open at Gloucester Court House next month.
Kay Van Dyke will open ARTWORK in the Village in the Main Street building in September, displaying the recently painted women mural on one side and the TC Walker mural on the other.
ARTWORK in the Village will be a community space for local artists and businesses to use, offering studios, workspaces and offices on a membership basis. Van Dyke’s current building, Village Arts Colony, will be leased to Theresa Wells-Stifel of York and Main, who operates an art and vintage design showroom next door.
“It’s very exciting,” Van Dyke said.
ARTWORK in the Village is a two-story building with the studios, workspaces and offices on the ground floor and an apartment for the owner and possibly another artist on the upper floor. Memberships are based on the space needed and start at $95 per month for seven days a week with full access to open spaces for working, meetings, classes…
