MEGADETH started the “Destroy all enemies” 2024 US Summer Tour on August 2 at Walmart AMP, Rogers, Arkansas. Finnish guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari tied together MEGADETH last September, after the band’s long-time guitarist Kiko Loureiroannounced earlier this month that it would enter the next round of MEGADETH‘S “Destroy the world” Tour to stay at home with his children in Finland. It was later announced that Mäntysaari would continue playing guitar for MEGADETH for the foreseeable future with Loureiro apparently with no plans to return.
The 37-year-old Mäntysaari was born in Tampere, Finland and started playing guitar at the age of 12. In 2004 he joined the band WINTER SUNHe is also a member of SMACKBOUND since 2015.
MEGADETH played his first concert with Mäntysaari on September 6, 2023 at Revel in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Loureiro officially joined MEGADETH in April 2015, about five months after Chris BroderickLeaving the group.
