Cat who ‘rules this household’ decides to put owner in his place after prank

Cat who ‘rules this household’ decides to put owner in his place after prank

A cat’s reaction to its owner’s phone call caused fits of laughter on the Internet.

Owner Danielle wanted to play a harmless prank on her Siamese cat Beans. She decided to call a few people while Beans listened in the August 12 Instagram video posted to the account @parkourcatbean.

The first call was to the vet, where Beans wanted an appointment for the next day. Then it was off to the groomer, where Danielle mentioned that she wanted to shave all of her fur off. She “talked” to others about how much Beans loved her new hat or that the cat didn’t want treats anymore. These were all lies, of course. But Beans saw it differently.

Danielle mentioned in the video caption that Beans “calls the shots in the household,” which is why the cat didn’t hesitate to express her feelings through the calls. She listened carefully to make sure what she was hearing was actually coming from her owner’s mouth, and then—BOOM—she lunged at her and argued back.

Beans immediately jumped at her owner and grabbed the phone. Danielle screamed and laughed at the same time as she was thrown onto the bed. She knew Beans would get in trouble for this prank, but the surprise jump attack still surprised her.

Beans obviously understood what her owner meant and wanted to make things clear. She didn’t want to go to the vet. There was no way she was going to let a groomer shave off her luscious locks. And broccoli instead of chicken for Beans? In Danielle’s dreams.

The owner finally accepted defeat after being attacked too many times. She waved the white flag and apologized a million times at the end of the clip. She was done and didn’t want Beans to come after her any longer.

With more than 5.6 million views and 551,337 likes, people flooded the comments section with their reactions.

“Bean will fuck you up,” one user commented, while someone wrote from Beans’ perspective: “What are you telling them?! Don’t speak for me!!”

Another added: “Proof that animals UNDERSTAND us HAHA.”

Others call Beans’ actions “attempted murder,” but some defend her and say it was self-defense.

Newsweek I emailed Danielle asking for further comments.
