Three-state swing

Republican vice presidential candidate Senator J.D. Vance returns to the campaign trail on Tuesday in contested Michigan.

On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump’‘s 2024 vice presidential candidate will hold events in two other crucial swing states – Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

If it feels like déjà vu, it is.

“We’re going to make sure Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan go red,” the populist first-term senator from Ohio said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital in Michigan.

For nearly a quarter of a century, the Democrats had won the presidential elections in all three working-class states before Trump entered the White House with a narrow majority eight years ago.

In 2020, however, President Biden won back all three states by a razor-thin majority and defeated Trump.

The states remain extremely competitive as Vice President Kamala Harris and Trump face each other in the 2024 presidential election.

Last month’s Republican convention was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s largest city. Trump and Vance held their first joint post-convention rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, just a few miles north of where Vance was interviewed by Fox News on Wednesday.….Read more
