Village Media, a leader in local news, is seeking an experienced Digital Media Account Executive to join our growing footprint in the Sudbury, Ontario region.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter who is passionate about helping connect businesses with our large local audience.
The Account Executive is tasked with building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with local businesses, agencies or individuals and working with them to reach their target audience through various advertising channels and services.
The Account Executive will:
- Develop and manage revenue-generating relationships with clients and agencies
- Find new business opportunities using sales funnel techniques
- Analyze your customers’ marketing goals and develop needs-based solutions to achieve them
- Manage and take responsibility for the schedule of each client’s services and campaigns, be the first point of contact and manage all customer care and service
- Monitoring campaign execution and analysis
- Collaborate with internal partners to increase revenue
- Use web analytics tools to understand sales opportunities and statistics needed for sales presentations
- Work closely with other Village Media employees, both locally and across the network.
- Minimum qualifications for the position include:
- Proven sales success in a local media environment
- At least two years of experience in media sales, account management or purchasing
- Ability to work alone and in a team
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent oral and written skills
- integrity
- Hardworking, relationship-building with a winning attitude
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient use of Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets and other Google applications
- Some travel may be required
- A valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle and good driving experience are required
- The successful candidate must reside in or near Sudbury, Ontario
This position will often require the successful candidate to meet and work with clients at their workplace. Working hours are typically Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but sometimes evenings and weekends may be required in special circumstances.
