In the first and second edition of the current Power Girlin her secret identity as Dr. Paige Stetler, she met a certain Axel Gust, a possible CIA agent or something like that. And there definitely seemed to be his spark. She got his number in more ways than one. A James Bond for Power Girl? He was trying to recruit for something, somewhere,
When we called him back, something else emerged…that he was a field agent? A burglar? Chances are he’s no longer with the CIA at this point.
And that was it for a while, until “House Of Brainiac” came along, in which Brainiac gathered all the superpowered people in Metropolis together. And just as Power Girl asked Axel out on a date on the phone, Axel was kidnapped. Which confirmed that he did indeed have some sort of superpowers.
And on their first date, in Power Girl #11, they both found out about each other… somehow.
It may have led to one of the most embarrassing Power Girl moments of all time.

…yes, it is. Given her past, that’s saying something.
When Axel learned all about Power Girl… what about this non-CIA agent? It turns out he was from Asgard. But what kind of Asgardian? In tomorrow’s issue Power Girl #12 of Leah Williams And Travis Moorethe truth is out… spoilers follow.
Turns out he’s a devout librarian, zookeeper, weapons master, librarian, whatever the role requires. And Power Girl?
She also chooses a definition. We also get a little American cultural reference with historical significance.
I guess this is confirmation that Trump exists in the DC Universe. More than just the back of the head of someone with impulse issues in Suicide Squad. And what about Axel and Paige?
