Three people arrested after reckless driving on jogging track in Tulsa

Three people were arrested after a group of motorcycles and ATVs drove recklessly on a jogging path.

A Tulsa police officer patrolling the Ann Patton Commons spotted the group on the Mingo Creek Jogging Trail.

Police attempted to stop the group, but they evaded officers by driving into oncoming traffic without lights and ignoring red lights and stop signs.

A police helicopter was sent to the crime scene to track down the suspects.

According to police, one of the motorists, Austin Goe, tried to hide in a yard near the corner of East Apache Street and North Yale Avenue.

The helicopter located his location using thermal optics and he was arrested.

Two other suspects, Jaeson Crafton and Ethan Brewer, were arrested near South 39th Street and West 41st Street while hiding under a trampoline.

All three face charges of traffic violations, fleeing from police and other crimes.

Their motorcycles were towed away.

The suspects admitted in an interview that they were part of a group that had gathered in Tulsa to drive illegally on city streets, parks and roads.

Police said city property, especially jogging trails, were closed to motorized vehicles to avoid endangering pedestrians or damaging property.
