A new internet video that primarily features today’s NBA superstars also shows love for some of yesterday’s legends.
Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal appear in a “medieval” NBA video that’s catching the attention of basketball fans, as it puts players in cool situations from that era.
It’s not known who produced the clip, but user Miguel posted it to YouTube on Monday night. Check it out:
The video features Steph Curry, LeBron James, James Harden, Jayson Tatum and Kevin Durant, among others. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is also featured. It seemed like this video was focused on today’s game, especially since Anthony Edwards is in it. He recently poked fun at the older generation, saying he “didn’t think anyone had talent back then.”
“I didn’t see it then, so I can’t comment on it,” Edwards said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. “They say it was tougher then than it is now, but I don’t think anyone had the skill back then. (Michael Jordan) was the only one who really had the skill, you know what I mean?”
Magic Johnson called the comments “disrespectful.” The fact that Jordan and O’Neal were featured in that video is proof that not everyone thinks like Edwards. Even though players today have a physical advantage, it’s never a good idea to discredit their abilities.
