“Be happy”: BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook write heartfelt letters to mark their comrade’s discharge from military service and sign autographs

BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook are currently serving as active soldiers in the South Korean military. The K-pop stars are currently on a break and have no schedules. Their fans are excited every time a new update about them appears. Recently, a soldier from their station was discharged from service and both wrote heartfelt farewell letters to their buddy.

On August 27, 2024, a new update from BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook circulated on social media platforms. Both K-pop idols wrote a touching message to their comrade and military buddy who happened to be discharged from service. In the message, Jimin recalled how the soldier asked him to remember his name when they first met.

The artist also expressed his gratitude for the constant smile, care, and support that the soldier had shown. Jimin also encouraged him to take care of his skin and assured him that it would get better soon. On the other hand, Jungkook said that the soldier had worked hard and wished him luck on his new journey.

Both Jimin and Jungkook enlisted in the military on the same day, December 13, 2024, and will be discharged sometime around 2025. Additionally, they are both currently appearing in a travel show called Are You Sure?!, which was filmed before their enlistment.

The show is described as a travel series where Jimin and Jungkook travel through different regions, do different activities and spend quality time together. As the title suggests, they encounter unexpected events on their journey that make them ask themselves, “Are you sure?!”

The duo visited New York in the US, Jeju Island in South Korea and Sapporo in Japan. They explored New York’s bustling cityscape, visited famous landmarks and enjoyed the diverse food scene.

On Jeju Island, they immersed themselves in nature and experienced the tranquility of the beaches and hiking trails. Sapporo offered a mix of cultural and outdoor activities, from visiting traditional markets to exploring stunning landscapes.

Are You Sure?! will have a total of 8 episodes and the show will premiere on August 8, 2024 on the streaming platform Disney+. Are you ready to watch Jimin and Jungkook face exciting challenges?
