Rockstar interrupts show to denounce culture’s lies and tell audience: “Jesus Christ loves you” – Faithwire

Brad Arnold, lead singer of the rock band 3 Doors Down, attracted attention this month with powerful comments about Jesus and faith he made during a concert at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania.

Before belting out the band’s song “Away From the Sun” at the August 23 show, Arnold told the crowd that two years ago he felt the urge to share an important message with fans during his performances.

According to PennLive.com, he then asked for a few minutes to tell the thousands in attendance that God loves them. It was a truly moving monologue.

“I feel like I can relate to this song more than most of our songs,” he said, calling “Away From the Sun” his favorite band ballad. “This world is surrounded by a message: We’ll never be good enough, we’ll never be strong enough, we’ll never be beautiful enough, we’ll never be rich enough.”

Arnold wasn’t done there, denouncing a “lie” that he believes is spread on social media and in other areas of life: that we will never be truly loved and that we will never “win.”

“My friends, I just want to take a moment to tell you – that is an absolute lie,” he said. “You are loved. You are enough and you will win. Not only can you win, but you will win. You will always be enough for one reason, and that is because Jesus Christ loves you.”

Watch Arnold share his faith:

Despite the daily failures and struggles that every single person faces, Arnold said that each individual is deeply loved by God. He then declared, “Repeat after me: I am the one Jesus loves.”

These statements were met with cheers and applause, and the audience repeated his words.

Other online videos and posts indicate that Arnold shares his faith on stage as well. The singer has made similar statements at other 3 Doors Down shows.

He also speaks openly about his faith on social media.

“Many prayers for all the children going back to school,” he wrote in a recent Instagram post, sharing an image with text from Deuteronomy 31:6. The verse reads, “The Lord your God goes with you.”
