Clubs and societies opened

Manikam Ramaswami College of Arts and Science, Madurai, held a week-long inaugural ceremonies of clubs and societies of the Departments of Business Administration, Visual Communication and Computer Science. The inaugural ceremony included a grand swearing-in ceremony of the office bearers of the clubs. The Department of Business Administration inaugurated the Management Association and Professional Societies on July 31. The guest of honour, AKB Nawas Babu of SA Knitwears, Madurai, addressed the students on how to identify niche marketing by analysing competitors. The Department of Visual Communication inaugurated the Professional Society on August 3. The guest of honour, Vetrivel, Madurai Bureau Chief of News 18 Tamil Nadu, highlighted the transformative impact of digital innovations on journalism and entertainment.

The Department of Computer Science inaugurated the ‘Infobytes Club’ on August 3. The guest of honour, B. Natarajan from Thiagarajar School of Management, shared insights into the evolving technology landscape that is paving the way for the convergence of innovation, critical thinking and intellectual curiosity.

Workshop held

On August 7, the Commerce Research Centre at Yadava College organized a workshop titled “Statistical Computations using SPSS”. Former Secretary and Correspondent KP Navaneetha Krishnan, who is also the Managing Director of Hotel Park Plaza, Madurai and Chennai, delivered the keynote address. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the college, R.VN Kannan. Principal C.Raju was present. S. Vijay Mallikaraj, Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, Solamalai College of Engineering, attended as the Guest of Honour.

Sports meeting held

Jain Vidyalaya recently organized a Junior Sports Meet for Kindergarten and Grade 1 students

and 2. The “Little Legends Sports Parade” was the highlight, as the little JVans,
