Summary

  • Aero opens a new route connecting Los Angeles to Napa Valley on September 20 through November.
  • Tickets for this semi-private jet service start at $725 each way.

The semi-private airline Aero has officially opened a new route. This will connect Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Los Angeles, California, to Napa County Airport (APC) in Napa, California. The new flights are scheduled to begin operations on September 20 and run through November, late fall.

About the new flights

On Monday, August 26, Aero officially announced the launch of its new service. This flight will connect Los Angeles to Napa Valley weekly and will operate as follows:

  • Departure from Van Nuys Airport (VNY) on Fridays at 3:30 p.m. local time and arrival at Napa County Airport (APC) at 5:40 p.m. local time
  • Departure from Napa County Airport (APC) on Sundays at 09:30 local time and arrival at Van Nuys Airport (VNY) at 12:00 local time

These flights are expected to last just one hour and the Aero planes will land just 15 minutes from downtown Napa. The route will be available to travelers starting September 20th and will be offered through the end of November of this year.

Tickets for this premium semi-private jet service start at just $725 per person each way. On these flights, Aero travelers are allowed to carry up to two checked bags and up to two cases of wine on the return trip from Napa at no additional cost.

Aero’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ben Klein, spoke about the new route, stating:

“Our community has expressed interest in visiting Napa and we’ve worked hard to make their dream a reality just in time for harvest season. It’s extremely rare for a scheduled flight to land near downtown Napa just over an hour after departing Los Angeles. Typically, this is only possible with a private flight. Aero’s new service to wine country is just one example of our strategic approach to growth in 2024: listening to market feedback and responding with innovative solutions. Guests can now fly to hard-to-reach, premier vacation destinations during peak season.”

Bookable experiences

Several additional experiences are included in this travel package. Aero has partnered with two Auberge Resorts Collection properties located in Napa Valley. The two partner resorts are Solage, a 62-acre luxury resort in wine country, and Stanly Ranch, a 1,700-acre luxury resort.

Additionally, guests have the opportunity to participate in exclusive wine tours of Napa Valley, including wine tastings at the award-winning Sullivan Rutherford Estate and Eisele Vineyard, with whom Aero has partnered. Aero has previously created unique experiences for passengers at various destinations. Some of Aero’s unique destinations include Aspen, Sun Valley and Los Cabos.
