Man takes packages from porch minutes after delivery in Mid City of New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The Mid-City Security District is asking the public for help in identifying a man caught on camera allegedly stealing packages just minutes after they were delivered.

The group said the man followed a delivery truck driver in the 100 block of South Genois Street on August 21.

The video shows the delivery person leaving packages in front of a house.

According to MCSD, the man arrives just two minutes later in a gray SUV, parks behind a St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office unit, crosses the street and leaves before taking the packages and returning to the vehicle.

According to MCSD, there is a second person in the car.
