Best Gray Talon build in Deadlock – Destructoid

Best Gray Talon build in Deadlock – Destructoid

Compile a build in deadlock can be a daunting task. Not only do you have to worry about your skills, but you also have to sort through tons of items to find what works best for your character.

This is made easier by the fact that Valve offers a standard build for each character, but ultimately you can do much better. Here is the best build for Grey Talon in deadlock.

The best items and level order for Grey Talon in Deadlock

The power of Grey Talon is based primarily on a Barrage of bullet damage combined with a ton of ghost damage. Therefore, we want to focus the build on combining these two things, so that while you’re not using one or the other in an insane amount, you’re still doing more than enough to weaken your targets. With that in mind, we want the following elements:

Early game

  • Headshot Booster
  • High-speed magazine
  • Hollow point station
  • Fast laps
  • Steadfast spirit
  • Additional endurance
  • Extra charge
  • Extra Spirit
  • Mystical eruption

This first set of items should be purchased based on your requirements. If you’re having trouble staying on track, grab Enduring Spirit and Extra Stamina first.. If you want to push much harder and feel like you can’t safely kill the other laners, you should prioritize grabbing the first four items above. If you feel pretty strong and think you can get kills easier, you should focus on the last three items. Otherwise, just make sure you grab all of those items first.

Medium game

  • Long range
  • Combat Barrier OR Wizard’s Barrier
  • Spirit Life Stealing
  • Improved cooldown
  • Mystical vulnerability

The barrier should be chosen depending on what you have in front of you. For example: Enchanter’s Barrier is incredibly strong against Bebop since it can tank its entire combo if you get roped in. Otherwise, it’s fine to pick up the rest of the items from top to bottom.

Late game

  • Sniper
  • Superior endurance
  • Improved Burst
  • Improved mind
  • Fast charging
  • Superior cooling
  • Knockdown

However, these items can usually be purchased from top to bottom. You can buy Sharpshooter later if you feel like you are not doing that much bullet damageOtherwise, these items are usually upgrades to other items you have already purchased.

Very late game

  • Paralyzing headshot
  • Lucky hit
  • Limitless spirit
  • Increasing exposure

For this category, you realistically only have to worry Selling Headshot Booster and Hollow Point Ward for Crippling Headshot or Lucky Shot. Otherwise, this should round off the build nicely.

What should you do for Grey Talon’s ability order?

When it comes to Grey Talon’s ability order, it’s pretty straightforward. You should Take his charged shot first, followed by his immobilizing trap, the hail of arrowsand of course his ultimate Guided Owl. To maximize each ability, it’s best to max out Charged Shot, then Guided Owl, Immobilizing Trap, and finally Rain of Arrows.
