Kate Middleton and Prince William appeared alongside senior British figures in a video on Sunday to congratulate the British team on their success at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The British Olympians won a total of 65 medals, including 14 gold. Middleton’s last public appearance was last July at the 2024 Wimbledon men’s singles final.
In the video, the Princess of Wales opted for a piece from an American fashion company. The British queen wore Ralph Lauren’s ‘Tori’ Breton stripe top. The all-over horizontal navy stripe top with a cream cotton underlay featured a boat neck and long sleeves.
“Congratulations to Team GB from all of us watching at home,” Middleton said in the video. “Well done for what you have achieved,” Prince William said, adding: “You are an inspiration to us all.” The couple’s video caption also highlighted their praise for the British Olympians. “Well done (Team GB), what an incredible journey. Every athlete has shown tremendous dedication, heart and passion. You have made us all so proud,” the caption read.

In 2024, Ralph Lauren was also the official outfitter of the US team for the ninth time. The American fashion company not only designed uniforms for the US team to wear during the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, but also introduced a range of Villagewear pieces and clothing that could be purchased to support the US team.
