Dogs really are like our children sometimes. Yes, they need to be cared for like children, but there are also situations in which they really remind us of little ones. Like a puppy named Lucy who wanted to show off for her mom. The only problem was that her mother wanted to take a relaxing bath.
Call it a time for show and tell, because Lucy had a lot of things to talk about while her mother took a bath.
In a video the woman shared online, the Golden Retriever-Labrador mix can be seen bringing several items to her mother as she tried to have some time to herself.

First there was a really good stick. Then there was a bag of Teddy Grahams. The dog followed the snack with a plastic hanger and then several other “treasures” that she found around the house. We were especially taken with the Viking hat that she found.
The funny thing was that Lucy would show her mother a treat and then take it with her. She never gave anything away and the list of items she brought back seemed endless. Who needs a book when your dog can keep you entertained?
The comments section was filled with laughter at Lucy’s little performance. “She’s like… no no you can’t have that. I’m just showing you what I’m up to while you can’t stop me,” joked one commenter. “She’s just the happiest there is,” added another. “The randomness of the gifts makes me laugh. A can of tuna? And a stick in the house?” added someone else. “I’m crying here, the coat hanger and the Viking hat, I love her,” wrote one person.

Hilariously, this is part seven of a series in which the dog mom documents Lucy’s show-and-tell time. The dog paying her a visit in the tub is apparently a sort of regular thing.
In another video on the dog’s page, Lucy is seen bringing her mom more “gifts.” Like a blanket and a paper plate. Lucy was so excited she almost got in the tub with her mom. She was so damn excited, just look at the soft tapping of her feet.
“She doesn’t know what to do with all the excitement,” wrote one commenter.
Dogs really are the sweetest. When they love you, you definitely know it. We’d like to think Lucy was generous with all the cool stuff she found. That’s the sign that a dog really loves their human.
