“Design and create with LEGO!” exhibition – Longmont Times-Call

Exhibition “Building: Designing and Creating with LEGO!”: Monday, 9 a.m., Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road, Longmont. Join us for “Build: Design & Create with LEGO!” an interactive exhibit that captivates guests of all ages. Build and race a LEGO car, take on an architectural challenge, save the world with a wondrous invention, or explore and play. Seasoned LEGO fans or those just discovering the magic of these iconic bricks will have a great time here. Woven hats for charity: Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., Carbon Valley Regional Library, 7 Park Ave., Firestone. Passing Hats has been making and giving hats to cancer patients since March 2011. Family Book Club: Wednesday, 6 p.m., Carbon Valley Regional Library, 7 Park Ave., Firestone. This is a book club for school-age children ages 7 to 11 and their adults. Each month, participants read a different fictional chapter book. Families are allowed to take their copies home and read together the next month. When the group meets again, it will talk about the book and enjoy activities and crafts related to the book. Snacks will be provided, and a new book will be featured each month.
