Jared Leto rides the Tron Lightcycle through Disneyland

In a new Instagram post, Leto – who was in Florida at the time for several stops on 30 Seconds to Mars’ Seasons tour – can be seen approaching the Tron ride and explaining: “We gotta go, we gotta do this, man. Holy shit! I feel like I’m home!” He also insisted on riding up front, and fans of the ride say it was worth the wait. Judging by the clip, Leto was having a hell of a time, although some followers teased him for not taking his grip off the handlebars.

If, unlike Jared Leto, you have not yet driven Tron Lightcycle / Run, Disney has the following synopsis: “Climb aboard your very own Lightbike and embark on a high-speed adventure that pits you against the Grid’s most menacing programs. Outrun your fierce opponents as you attempt to pass through 8 energy gates and secure your team’s victory.”

Jared Leto is one of many new actors for Tron: Areswith Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Gillian Anderson and other contributors for the sequel. Leto plays the title character of the film, “who is sent from the digital world on a dangerous mission into the real world, marking humanity’s first encounter with AI beings.” Leto also serves as producer, although he apparently didn’t lobby hard enough to score Thirty Seconds to Mars Tron: Aressince Nine Inch Nails will take over the composition duties.

2010s Tron: Legacy grossed $400 million worldwide and was one of the biggest hits of the year.

The first version of the Tron Lightcycle ride opened at Shanghai Disneyland in 2016, while the version at Magic Kingdom debuted just last year.
