Need a ride to Memorial Stadium for an upcoming Husker football game? StarTran has you covered.
The Big Red Express service, offered by Lincoln Transportation and Utilities, will resume service this Saturday, August 31, for the UTEP Miners game against the Cornhuskers.
The service will be offered two hours before kick-off at four different locations, each in a different part of the city:
- Gateway Shopping Center – 61st and “O” Street, parking lot on the north side between Dillard’s and JCPenney
- SouthPointe Pavilions – 27th and Pine Lake Road, south of Von Maur
- North Star High School – 5801 N. 33rd St., take I-80 exit 403, follow North 27th Street south and turn left onto Folkways Boulevard
- Northwest High School – 4901 West Holdrege Street, take I-80 exit 395, follow Northwest 48th Street north and turn left onto West Holdrege Street
Buses will drop off and pick up passengers on “R” Street between 12th and 14th Streets.
Travel time from boarding to disembarking at the bus location is expected to average 30 minutes or less. The last bus will leave the parking lot 45 minutes before kickoff. Electronic signs will direct fans to Big Red Express locations near the highway.
Round-trip tickets purchased in advance are $13 per adult and $7 per child. Game-day round-trip tickets are $15 per adult and $10 per child. Round-trip tickets can be purchased in advance at the StarTran office, 710 “J” St., or through the Token Transit app. Single-ride tickets are not sold and exact change is required. No bills over $20 will be accepted.
Big Red Express season tickets, valid round-trip to all home games, are available for $65 (a savings of $26) at StarTran or at game day parking lots.
Tickets can also be purchased via smartphone by sending “TOKEN” to 41411 to receive a download link.
