IMTS 2024 offers numerous educational opportunities to help attendees expand their skills, network with peers, and learn from experts. This year, the event includes more than 10 conferences that provide attendees with technical knowledge, business trends, and advanced learning.
Below are the conferences/learning areas that will be presented at IMTS 2024.
The IMTS 2024 Conference
From improving productivity and part quality to understanding Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and workforce development, the IMTS 2024 conferences provide insight into today’s manufacturing challenges.
The 2024 IMTS Conference is supported by AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology and managed by GIE Media and features over 70 different sessions, each selected by a review committee.
IMTS Elevate Program: Job Shops. Shop floors are the lifeblood of the manufacturing industry. The four half-day workshops from AMT, Modern Machine Shop and Additive Manufacturing Media are designed to provide shop floor participants with new and creative ways to learn, connect and transform today and tomorrow.

IMTS Elevate Program: LATAM. Launching at IMTS 2024, ELEVATE: LATAM is a half-day conference for the Spanish-speaking manufacturing technology community, focusing on transformative technologies, sustainable manufacturing, and regional trends in the high-growth markets of Mexico, Latin America, and Spain. Access to LATAM Night, an evening reception that offers you the opportunity to network across the manufacturing communities, is included with your registration.
Tuesday: Morning training and LATAM Night evening reception
IMTS Investor Forum. The IMTS Investor Forum connects attendees with advanced manufacturing experts who demystify the manufacturing technology industry, estimated to be worth $65 billion. The event is geared toward investment professionals and offers an insider’s experience of the show, providing unique industry perspectives and information to help identify opportunities. The forum includes a full day of presentations, lunch and networking opportunities. Exclusive, curated tours of the exhibit hall are optional for forum attendees and will take place before and after the forum.
Industrial Laser Conference. Hosted by the Laser Institute of America (LIA), this conference focuses on laser processing for manufacturing applications. Laser applications include marking, cutting, welding and heat treating, remote welding, cleaning, additive manufacturing, and more.
Parts cleaning conference. At the Parts Cleaning Conference you will learn about the latest cleaning technologies. In recent years, cleaning has become more important than ever. Environmental regulations are becoming more stringent and manufacturers are demanding high-quality, clean parts. At the Parts Cleaning Conference you will learn in detail how to achieve all this while staying within regulations and budget.
Done. Grow! Presented by EBITDA Growth Systems. Join entrepreneur experts and EBITDA Growth Systems co-founders Dave Capkovitz and Mike Watkins for a crash course in how to create and execute the ideal business plan. Leave this experience with a business plan for generational success in the manufacturing industry.
Supply Chain Forum. The Supply Chain Forum at IMTS 2024, co-hosted by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), provides direct strategies and insights for more robust and financially powerful operations. OEMs, suppliers and contract manufacturers will benefit from first-hand demonstrations and panel discussions on new tools and proven techniques for leaner, more agile and more profitable supply chains.
Successful with the Powder Bed Fusion Workshop. For machine shops and other manufacturers considering adopting Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) or looking to partner with a provider of this capability, this workshop will provide tactics and considerations for success. Speakers will cover materials, safety, part design, production operations and more.
The Automated Shop Conference (TASC). This half-day event is all about introducing small and medium-sized machining shops to new product technologies, process innovations and business strategies, and helping shops safely implement unmanned machining and automated production. With a program curated by automation industry experts and lively discussions from leading technical experts, attendees will walk away with key insights and actionable strategies.
