Fact check: Did Pakistan write ‘UAE’ instead of ‘India’ on their official jersey for the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup?

Pakistan unveiled its new jersey for the 2021 T20 World Cup on Friday and it is in stark contrast to one that was previously circulating on social media as being ‘leaked’. Earlier, a Pakistan jersey was widely shared by social media users which looked different and had ‘UAE 2021’ instead of ‘India 2021’ underneath the 2021 T20 World Cup logo. This went viral on social media and many believed it to be true. Until the Pakistan Cricket Board made the announcement on Friday, October 15. However, after a check, it was revealed to be a fake jersey after the original was revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The new jersey has a different texture than the ‘leaked’ one and has ‘India 2021’ and ‘UAE 2021’ written on it as India is actually hosting the tournament, although it is being played at a different venue.

Although the fake jersey caused a lot of talk and discussion on social media, all the rumors can now be put to rest as PCB has now unveiled the official jersey.
