She was the first to get engaged on Love Is Blind UK, but it turns out we could have seen Sabrina walk down the aisle with a completely different man in the Netflix series, as she had another strong bond outside of her relationship with Steven that we never got to see.
The 35-year-old from Belfast was seen accepting 37-year-old Steven’s marriage proposal at the start of the second episode after they bonded over their love of meditation and shared philosophies on life. However, her decision was not as clear-cut as it first seemed.
“So Steven was my number one from day two, but I had another connection that you don’t see at all,” Sabrina revealed in an interview with the Irish Sun.
“And up until the day that Steven and I decided that we were going to be the only connection, I also spoke to this person and she had come to ask me to be her connection. And I had to disappoint her and say, actually, I chose Steven. There is so much that you don’t see. There are so many other beautiful moments and dates.”
Sorry, but she was basically in a completely different relationship? Netflix is running the tapes. However, during her interview, she made it clear that her connection with Steven was always stronger, and the couple shared many other moments leading up to their emotional proposal that we didn’t get to see.
We saw the couple talk about their grandparents’ jewelry and the special meaning behind those pieces in the first episode, but what we didn’t get to see was when Steven gave Sabrina his grandfather’s ring (stop, we’re crying 🥹) and when they played hangman through the pod’s wall.
After their engagement, Steven and Sabrina joined the other couples for the retreat to Corfu and at the moment it seems like things couldn’t be going better for them.
We keep our fingers crossed that we will see even more sweet moments between the two in the upcoming episodes, which will be released tomorrow (August 14).
Not that we’re counting down the hours or anything.
