PEARL JAM releases live video for “Wreckage”

PEARL JAM has released a new live music video for the current single “Debris”filmed at the band’s show on May 16 in Las Vegas. The single, along with the first release and title track of PEARL JAMs seventh studio album, “Dark Matter”became No. 1 on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay Charts, reaching for the first time PEARL JAM has achieved consecutive No. 1 positions in the charts. Both singles dominated the radio charts and were also top 5 records at Alt Radio and “Debris” was a No. 1 on AAA Radio.

Sheridanwho previously Trent Reznor And NINE INCH NAILS and well-known director David Finchersaid the Seattle Newspaper: “PEARL JAM is not a bright, cold LED screen, but a warm, glowing light. We talked about, “What if we did this with a really analog feel? What if we used a projection screen, and some ways to bring the visuals into the room with the band without having to fight for attention with one of the greatest live bands of our generation in terms of musical performances.”

“Dark Matter”which recently surpassed 100 million streams, entered the top 5 of the Billboard 200 and also peaked at number 1 of five Billboard Charts simultaneously – Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums and Top Hard Rock. With their latest release, the band also has the most No. 1 albums in Billboard Chart history of the top hard rock albums (eight).

“Dark Matter” was published in April via Monkeywrench Records/Republican Records.

In 2023 PEARL JAM retreated to Rick Rubin‘S Shangri-La Studio in Malibu, California, where they simply plugged in and under the direction of producer Andrew Watt‘s clock. Writing and recording in a burst of inspiration, “Dark Matter” was born in just three weeks.
