Amit Shah attributed the decision to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a developed and prosperous Ladakh.
The Home Ministry has decided to create five new districts in the Union Territory of Ladakh, Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday.
In a post on X, Shah said that the creation of new districts will bring the intended benefits to the people at their doorsteps by strengthening governance to the smallest detail.
He attributed the decision to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a developed and prosperous Ladakh.
These districts are Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra and Changthang.
“To realise Narendra Modi’s vision of building a developed and prosperous Ladakh, the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to create five new districts in the Union Territory. The new districts, namely Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra and Changthang, will bring the benefits intended for the people to their doorsteps by strengthening governance in every corner. The Modi government is committed to providing ample opportunities to the people of Ladakh,” he wrote on X.
