A safe and comfortable transport system starts with you. When you travel by bus or train or wait at a stop, know the rules and respect them. The full list of rules for travelling can be found here.
Ensure a clean ride for everyone
Please do not throw trash on buses, trains, at bus stops or train stations. There are trash cans at every light rail and bus rapid transit station. Throw your trash in there as soon as you exit the vehicle!
Smoking is prohibited – not at all! – on the train and at the stops
Smoking is not permitted on Metro Transit buses or trains, or at any bus stop, station, or shelter. It is not only unwelcome, it is illegal. This includes tobacco, vaping, or any legal or illegal substance. If you must smoke, please leave the shelter or platform area.
At the beginning of 2024, we recorded children and young people urging passengers to love their lungs and played the announcements on the platforms.
