There is hardly anything more frustrating in the summer than having to go on holiday with a friend or relative who is driving you a little crazy.
A woman feels disrespected after her in-laws announced they would accompany her and her husband on their annual trip to Greece to visit family.
She comes from a large Greek family that still has relatives in her home village in Greece. Since she was a baby, she traveled abroad once a year to visit them.
Now her parents are there and she and her husband continue the tradition of taking their children on all visits every year.
Since there are so many family members in Greece, are able stay quite late in the summer, especially because she works from home.
“Every year it’s a nice homecoming because we have a little bit of life there with our family and our neighbors, and that’s something very special for us,” she explained.
“This year my in-laws, who had already been to Greece, decided join us for three weeks. They only told us after they had booked their tickets and essentially announced it.”
She and her family are already in Greece and were not expecting to have guests. This news particularly surprised her as her in-laws are usually quite rude and disrespectful when spending time with her side of the family.
Her husband was not enthusiastic about the long visit his parents were planning eitherSo he convinced them to shorten their trip, but only by a week.
