Aaron Judge’s monster season continued Sunday afternoon with two more monster home runs, giving him a major league-leading 51 home runs. And it’s only August.

In Sunday’s 10-3 win over the Colorado Rockies, the New York Yankees All-Star batter became only the fifth player in baseball history, alongside Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Alex Rodriguez, to record at least three seasons with 50 home runs in his career.

Judge hit that milestone home run in the bottom of the first inning against Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber, blasting an 0-2 changeup 431 feet into the left-center field bullpen to give New York a 2-1 lead.

Then, in the seventh inning, he hit the 51st out amid three consecutive Yankees home runs against Rockies relief pitcher Jeff Criswell to give New York a 7-3 lead.

On Saturday, the red-hot Judge became the first player in MLB history to post an average of at least .375 and 45 home runs in a single 100-game season.

He continued his streak with two more home runs on Sunday, putting him on pace to hit 63 this season and break the American League record of 62 home runs he set in 2022.

In addition, Judge is now the first player in MLB history to have at least 50 home runs, 120 RBIs and 100 walks before September.
