Connor Norby and Jesus Sanchez each hit a home run on Sunday as the host Miami Marlins ended a five-game losing streak with a 7-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Norby went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and Sanchez had the game’s most points with two RBIs.

Miami right-hander Adam Oller (1-1) allowed one run on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts to earn his first win as a Marlin.

Three Miami relief pitchers combined to limit Chicago to just one run on one hit in 3 1/3 innings.

Cubs third baseman Patrick Wisdom was sent off in the fourth inning after suffering a strikeout when he saw a pitch that appeared to hit a corner. Wisdom, who went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts, had four strikes during those at-bats.

After the last punch, Wisdom hit the player with his helmet, resulting in him being sent off.

Chicago’s three-game winning streak was interrupted by a loss to Javier Assad (6-4).

The right-hander allowed three runs on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts in seven innings.

Miami scored on Assad’s first pitch of the game when Norby hit a flat fastball 352 feet for a home run to the right outfield. It was Norby’s second home run in as many games.

Two batters later, Sanchez hit a flat curveball from Assad 420 feet into center for his 16th home run of the season.

Chicago got on the scoreboard in the second when Dansby Swanson hit a double, stole third base and scored on a single to right by former Marlins catcher Christian Bethancourt.

Miami extended its lead to 3-1 in the third inning when Norby hit a double, reached third base on a flyout by Jake Burger and scored on Sanchez’s groundout.

Norby started another comeback in the eighth inning, hitting a single, reaching third base on Burger’s double and scoring on Jonah Bride’s sacrifice fly.

Miami added to its lead in the same inning when Otto Lopez and Kyle Stowers hit RBI doubles and Derek Hill hit a run-scoring single for a 7-1 lead.

Chicago’s Ian Happ hit an RBI double in the ninth inning to tie the score.
